Drove by a couple of lit up homes tonight:

The first one is near Briar Forest and Siegler, just East of the Beltway in West Houston:

This second one is the same house I posted photos of last year, but it's so awesome, I decided to take some more photos. Near Kemp Forest and Gessner, in North West Houston:

BEAUTIFUL! Great job and great thread...and thanks for posting these!

Wish I had the knack for photography. I don't. So...will be content to enjoy the scenes captured by other fellow Texans!

I love that first one, absolutely beautiful. I prefer colored lights to the "plain" ones; it seems like many are going with the latter nowadays.

How magical! Wouldn't you love to be able to just walk around inside the area of lights? We had a neighbor who used to decorate his entire yard (different themes for the front and back) and had an area for parking so you could take the kids and walk through. He had a carousel, merry-go-round, slides, etc. set up and of course trillions of lights. He had a box for donations which he gave the proceeds to the Harvest House, a charity organization sponsored by local churches, that help needy families throughout the year and at Christmas they ask the parents what their children are wanting for Christmas gifts and they try and fulfill their wishes, plus food for a Christmas dinner. A local grocer provides a turkey or ham to the families. We would go every Christmas and walk through the lights. It was good to donate to a worthy cause and when you were there, you felt like you were in a magical wonderland! I wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't. He retired a few years ago and they moved away and that was the end of that.

Thanks RVG for posting these magnificent pictures! I love the magic of Christmas.
