Stevie Ray and Lyle aren't among that group, but of course they are legendary Texas musicians as well. I could make a huge list...

Yep, the list is long....

But I'd consider Hag to be part of the "Bakersfield sound", California, along with Buck Owens.

One of my favorites is the album Wanted: The Outlaws, with Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Willie.....some of the tracks were ruined by Tompall Glaser, whom I just can't stand. He's horrible, but the other tracks (especially Good-Hearted Woman, Yesterday's Wine and Healing Hands of Time) made the album worth it. I just click through TG's crap.

The Highwaymen were good, too, but marred by Kris Kristofferson, whose major talent is songwriting (and boy, he had some greats), not singing. He sings off-key, and he's also very flat.

Of course, Johnny Cash and Willie can't really sing either, but they've got SOMETHING. When you put either one with people who CAN sing (Ray Price, Merle Haggard), they sound flat, LOL!

Yet, JC and Willie are among my favorites.
