Jrsgun, if a fellow Texas stood up oppose you and used the same fightin words to protect his ideology, and don't think for a second there are *not* socialist Texans, would you draw down on him?

Or would the fact that he is a fellow Texan deter you?

Because, as I've thought about this and listened to people, it's become apparent to me that in order for Texas to secede, there would be first be a war *for* Texas, by Texans. I don't think many Texans who are in favor of secession are considering that possibility. It is only after the pro-secessionist Texans militarily defeated anti-secessionist Texans (who would also have the aid of the US Federal Government) that Texas would be able to secede.

So, would pro-secessionist Texans be willing to kill other Texans in order to secede?

Would anti-secessionist Texans be willing to kill other Texans to stay in the Union?

If secession were to be the final answer in order for Texas to survive I hope a vote would be put forth for native born Texans & True legal Texans so as to find out what the people think as a majority. This would the honorable thing to do and would have to be determined by the Governor & our Senators & Congress. But, if it became a fight to save Texas from an onslaught by the Government and we had anti-secessionist to contend with in order to save Texas, yes I would fight in order for Texas to secede that is if the Governor decided for secession no matter what the consequences. But do not forget the possibility of other states joining with Texas is imminent but if a fight it is,then a fight it will be.

God Bless Texas

And if the majority of native born and legal Texans voted not to secede? Would you comply with the mob, even if it meant Texas as a culture and a state was no longer even remotely free?

That's the danger of majority rule. Sometimes (quite often, in my opinion), the majority is the "lowest common denominator", and not any indication of wisdom or intelligence.

If Texas voted no to secede, He would call them all socialist and continue to rant and rave about Obama on the city-data messageboard.

Jrsgun, You say you're a proud American, We'll, your fellow proud Americans overwhelmingly (Not even close) elected the man you like to call a socialist and complain about everyday and like it or not, He's here until atleast 2012 god willing. So get over it and find something else to complain about.

I do not think so scarmig, because Texas was a minoritiy when we had to defend ourselves against Mexico to keep Texas free. I am a native born Texan and I just do not think I could see Texas be destroyed by Socialism.
TNRyan23 your are real good at trying to put words in a person's mouth they did not say. I am not proud of the way America is at this moment. I stated I am proud of the U.S. Constitution and what it stands for God,Liberty & Freedoms. Those so called Americans who voted for Barack Hussein Obama want the Government to take care of them, a True American works for a living, believes in what this country stood for at one time and that was & is God,Country & the U.S Constitution which our forefathers fought and died for to keep. The true American will not let Barack Hussein Obama & His Obamanation ruin this country and what is left of it without a good fight.
You're right scarmig sometimes the majority is the lowest common denominator and what I have seen & heard so far there is no indication of wisdom or intelligence by the ones who voted for Barack Hussein Obama.

Like I Said Before Roll Up Your Sleeves,The Fight Begins.
God Bless Texas & The Military!

I understand what you are saying, Jrsgun. I'm a native, born and bred, and I'm proud of the heritage. But I also see that people today are not the same people that worked this land a hundred years ago. My point is that you are putting a lot of faith into a political construct, faith that the construct will give you the result you desire even if other people don't want it. But that same construct can just as easily turn against you, as we see so clearly with Obama. Can you believe that this man is the leader of the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave?" Yet there he is.

It is a reality that many native Texas voted for and support the current incarnation of the Federal government. That fact can't be ignored.

Of course not. He obviously doesn't respect the tenets of democracy as he wants to take his ball and go home as the result of a free and fair national election.

You are right again scarmig. But there is one thing that these people have forgotten, that the really true die hard Texans who are also die hard true Americans, are not going to let these so called Americans, who are actually Socialist in disguise, who also want to destroy the U. S. Constitution, take over without a good old fashion fight. They call us Traitors & Terrorist but who is trying to tear apart the U.S. Constitution, it definitely is not us and it is definitely not the Military who they also called Terrorist. It Is Barack Hussein Obama & His Followers.

It seems that Democracy does not exist anymore it is the new order of Socialism. I beg to differ I do not take my ball and go home not when there is a good fight to be had and our entire country is at risk along with Texas.

God Bless Texas !
