This is not even close. It's Southwest.

La, Miss, Bama, Ga, Fla...that's the South.

Sorry. With the exception of El Paso, we're not claiming it in the Southwest either.

My vote is the South. Geographically and culturally Texas is more akin to the South. I think the biggest variation Texas has from the rest of the South (MS, LA, AL, GA...etc) is the state was founded with and still has a very rich Mexican culture which distinguishes it from the rest of the South but relates it to the Southwest.

Why can't it be both? That's what I'd consider it.

Because it clearly leans more towards the South than the Southwest. It is Southern Plains state with some Southwestern characteristic. It is the Western South. Same with Oklahoma.

Well, I respect your opinion; however, I do not fit into that mold (thinking like a lot of other people). I'll still only claim El Paso.

Atleast we agree that most of the state is the south

Do you consider San Antonio southwest or south?

Yikes! That's one I've always struggled with. What do you think?

I have no clue. I have never been to San Antonio. The only Texas city that I have been to is Dallas and I enjoyed it
