Sometimes I think it is America that is seceding from Texas. That makes me sad.

Well, this is rich, considering you're apparently in El Salvador!

Chuck Norris has my vote! Ron Paul can be our Treasury Secretary! Heh, and Kinky Friedman can be Secretary of State.

So, who else would make a candidate for President of Texas?

Goodhair?
Kinky?
Kay Bailey?
Ron Paul?
Chuck Norris the man has just become another hackneyed Chuck Norris joke. When will this idiot just disappear?

I would be fine with this as long as Ron Paul is president...even though the Salvadoran says I'm unpatriotic

Texas is already the butt of too many jokes. I personally just can't take the guy seriously. There would be whole volumes of Texas jokes instead of Chuck Norris jokes.

I don't call myself an American. I call myself a Texan, with U.S. citizenship which in the end is only good for the passport.

Said passport says 'The Secretary of State of the United States of America.... to permit citizen/national of the United States to pass...'

If we secede from the Union, Illegals will swarm Texas, and the violence in Mexico will follow. Oh and on another note, nothing is more annoying than a celebrity running for office.

We could always put soldiers on the Red River to prevent illegal immigration.

But seriously, I don't see why an independent Texas would have any more trouble in this regard than the federal government does. In fact Texas I think would be in a better position to deal with illegal immigration since policies would be determined locally and Texas wouldn't have military commitments around the globe to compete with domestic security.

You must not live in Texas, walk outside and look at the demographics. It's going to take more than border patrol to fight off all those Mexican Cartels. And what about this, Texas secedes from the US because times are rough. Then times get rough in Texas and El paso decides to secede since they fell like they are better off on there own, then Houston, Austin, and Dallas do the same. Then everybody on your street decides to secede from your city. I love Texas, but it's Savior, County, State.
