I read the bold red statement and your A-hem and I knew it was wrong and was about to respond. It took a while for the bear to download and then I saw it. Thank you.

Also, I know Vermont, Hawaii, and South Carolina were also republics. There might be more. I'm not that great with history.

MaryBeth2, it isn't your fault. It is often erroneously listed that Texas was the only republic, so don't take it personally, please.
