I remember my father taking me to lake livingston to fish. As a child I was amazed by the mayflies on the 190 bridge. I have recently got in to fly fishing & remembered about the mayfies in livingston. I have searched the web for information & came up with nothing. Can any one help me find the information of when they hatch there?...

...Oh & i want to brag a little...I caught a 16 inch flounder to day in Jamaica beach on galvaston island using frozen shrimp. it was Kewl cause i was tring to catch a Croaker thats a bait fish

I would like to consider myself the local expert on Lake Livingston. But since I dont fly fish I dont know when the Mayfly hatch is. I find it far more exciting getting a big hawg Bass to blast my fat rap Rapala on the surface then a fly. But when the fly hatches the fish know it and that is all they will feed on for that week or so.

Why not try the real fly fishing experts, Trout Unlimited. I am certain they will have your answer.
