I am planning on moving to Houston, Texas this summer for a teaching job. My boyfriend is coming with me and is going to attend the University of Houston. We are thinking about leaving on campus, at the new lofts so that way we can elminate one of our cars. I am interested in working for Katy ISD and Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. I am just not sure about the commute time. Any one know about what the commute time would be to travel from U of H to Katy or Cypress-Fairbanks. I have mapquested some schools to see how far they are, and some in Cypress-Fairbanks were 1 1/2 away!

The commutes to Katy and/or Cypress would be quite bad. Of the 2, the reverse commute to Katy would probably be slightly easier.

I agree. It'll be a long commute. I used to live in Rice Village which isn't too very far from U of H and I had friends that lived in Katy and it seemed to take forever to get there. I think it would be a little more than 30 minutes to get there and that just depends on traffic.
