I'm so excited; this is great news for Central Texas, and I hope it becomes a reality even though it may freeze the little ball of fluff's tail. I'm sure it will apply to the Metroplex and other areas as well.

Winter apparently isn’t quite finished with Central Texas and the weather this weekend will be more suited to Santa than the Easter bunny.

Temperatures will plunge as a Canadian air mass settles across the region and temperatures may be cold enough for light snow or sleet to mix with rain Friday night through Sunday.

"Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the icy trail." Yippee!!

Yes this is exciting news! My a/c gets to rest a few days. It will make for some cold softball games, but I'd rather bundle up than strip down. You can always add layers, but there are only so many you can take off.

Yes, it is happening; it's snowing in Central Texas right now. The flakes are very small and of course, nothing is sticking, but it is a pleasant sight. I don't believe I can remember an April in 28 years with snowflakes. March, yes. April, no.

It's funny to see steam coming off the stock tanks in the pasture behind my house. I guess the warm weather really heated up the water and now with the cold weather, the steam is rising.

Well, it's sticking now and still coming down, not bad for April. I love it!

Poor doggie, he (or she) doesn't seem as thrilled.

She didn't stay out in it; she was just touring the yard when it began and then took a seat under the big photenia while I snapped photos. She is in the house now with my other dog and sound asleep. She's a happy old girl!
