Wildseed Farms . I don't know how the wildflower fields there are looking what with the drought and all, but it's only 7 miles from Fredericksburg.

You might want to go to Old Tunnel Wildlife mgnt area to look at all the bats if you can, its a great site. Should be a link on the Fred. visitor website.

Beautiful areas to visit and quite a bit to do and see.
After a trip to Enchanted Rock one July probably 12-13 years ago, I have one bit of advice. If you see it in summertime, go EARLY in the morning. That rock gets hot in the summer and there's no shade up there!

yea, I think we paid about $60 or so. However, the food lasts a long time and you end up saving money because you dont' have to cook or eat out.
