In Virginia, the room over the garage is called a "bonus" room. Our house in Virginia Beach had a "Florida" room, a "great" room, and a "bonus" room. When my Mom visited us soon after we had moved in, she asked in all seriousness, "Did you name ALL of the rooms?"

This thread made me remember that -- thanks for the sweet memory!
