We live in Texas. My husband applied almost 8 wks ago & hasnt gotten his card or an approval letter. He has applied for his 5th & 6th wks of payment & it still says waiting for a decision to be made on his case. Theres no number to call & talk to a live person. Any advice or help?

I had the same issue and so I googled "TWC (512)" Thinking a number for an Austin office should come up. Several did and most lead no where but try this one...(512)463-2294 It is not the main number and I am not even sure who it is but when I told the guy who answered I was trying to get an update on my unemployment claim he transfered me I was on hold for more than 20 minutes but I finally got a live person. They told me what was going on with my claim and I was able to resolve it. Please note that they will automatically tell you "We are backlogged this is normal, we will flag it, my supervisor put ASAP on it, etc...." I got that once a week for 6 weeks. Finally I got someone who promised my claim would be finalized by that afternoon and it was!!!! Yeah for grocery shopping again! My husband will be happy to eat some protein and not just pasta anymore Good luck and I hope he finds a new job very soon! Remember be persistent! and try several of the (512) numbers for TWC until you get someone that will help you.
