But then again, most people that are posting on Internet forums probably have a bone to pick and want to publicize it. Have you made any moves toward buying a property there?
Name me one school that has more good reviews than bad reviews on the Internet

Funny you ask about buying property...just yesterday my parents, of all people, put down an offer on riverfront property there. I believe they are still doing negotiations. Seems like a pretty place, I'll probably invest in it with them. I gotta build a cabin this spring if it all goes as planned. The river is the Pedernales, so should be interesting to kayak.

Congrats to them! I know they will love it. I'd be grateful if you'd PM me if you hear anything about the schools there.

Check out Heritage School.
It is a private k-12 Classical, Christian, College prep school.
I have heard great things about it.

I'm really not interested in a private education for my kids. I hope that the public schools work out for us since we are moving down there this summer!

cinnamon toast: did you move to Fredericksburg and if so, what did you find at the schools? I am moving to the area next month, and am debating between Kerrville schools and Fredericksburg. I'd rather live in Kerrville as it is closer to my job. Would love to hear what you have found.

cinn_toast - we'd be interested in how you are finding the Fredericksburg ISD and generally living there? Also I don't recall you mentioning where you moved from?
