That's impressive. I went to the Texas Medical Center for the first time to speak to an audience about something work-related and when I asked where a particular auditorium was, the staff member said, "Oh, you'll need to ride the shuttle to get there...it is too far to walk." And this was inside ONE building. That was when I started to realize how huge the place is.

It's great news for us. However, the guy who is saying all of this is the CEO of the Greater Houston Partnership, a group whose goal is to promote Houston's business growth. They always have very positive economic outlooks. Which isn't a bad thing, unless you are truly wanting to know reality and facts, then you'd have to do a little more digging around to see the whole picture.

And if I were to argue a point, which apparently I will... Downtown Dallas has a much more pleasing skyline than Houston as it has a mixture of buildings with different architectural qualities. Houston has nothing but glass, glass, and more glass. It's rather sterile looking IMO.
Also, Houstonians seem to have some sort of inferiority complex and are always pumping up their city on this forum as if it is some treasure. This fascination they have with promoting their city, which is full of humidity and some of the largest bugs this side of the Amazon is an obsession with the people of Houston.
We get it folks. Houston is a large city. But, if my job were to ever try and transfer me to Houston I would be rather be unemployed. Go to a restaurant there in the Summer (which is almost year round) and you'll see the bugs clinging to the windows peering in at you looking like starving children begging for their next meal. It's really disgusting.

I hate to break it to you, but North Texas had some of the largest Black Mold claims in all of Texas. Any insurance company will be glad to tell you that.

As if Dallas isn't known for tearing down old historical structures to erect an all glass skyscraper. This is one of several reasons Fort Worth has much more appeal than Dallas. I said it before & I'll say it again...Houston skyline by day, Dallas skyline by night.

Just my opinion Metro Matt. I would also never consider living in Florida or anywhere near the gulf coast.
Most of it is because of the weather, which I abhor . I'm sure the people in Houston are as nice (if not nicer) than the rest of Texas, which says a lot because Texans are fine people. Actually, Texans are some of the finest anywhere.

Houston has clumped all of their hospitals into one section, while Dallas has spread their major medical development around town. Collectively they all amount to the same size. Throw in Fort Worth's for good measure.
