From your standpoint and experience, which Texas cities and surrounding areas (from small to large) are the best for anglers without boats [good and decent size piers & where bank fishing is allowed]? Which are the worst or most restrictive cities for these type of fishermen [small fishing piers or inadequate amount of piers & no bank fishing]?

well I can tell you if you live like near the coast, Corpus Christi, area you are in for some fine fishing...go here

Texaskayak.com and become part of the force, hell I live in San Antonio and still make it down there, but look at them fish on the forums. I plan to retire near freeport not too close to the water, but close enough

Any inland cities good for anglers without boats? What about San Antonio?
