Born in Pampa. Lived in Abilene, Denton, Dallas, Muenster, Gainesville, then to Ohio and Louisiana and am now back in West Texas--Abilene--for the rest of my life.

Born at Lackland Station, USAF, San Antone. Mom born near Mexia, Dad near Salado. Pater claims ***** roots... so, does that make me a native?

Later lived in Fort Worth, public schools in Abilene, then Houston for a long ol' time then Dallas. Now, back near Salado.

Born, raised and still live in Fort Worth area. At least 3 generations in Texas, although a cousin has traced roots back to immigration from Ireland in 1620, many of them have no location for birth/death so I don't know when the first landed here!

Well, those ***** roots up there were meant to be one of an American Indian tribe. Didn't know the IN JUNe word was a bad one. I have only respect for what we call American Indians, considering what the white man did to them and their eventual loss to those people.

I didn't know that was a bad word either, and ditto to the rest of what you said about American Indians. (For that matter, ditto to "political deviant".) I'm 1/8th Cherokee, like many of us (or at least a lot of us are 1/4 or 1/16th some tribe or another), and thought that was a positive thing. I've always been proud of it.
