Mexicanized? The ones with the heaviest Mexican and/or Spanish influence (but also tons of history ala the explorers and Mexican and Spanish American wars and wars of independance) would be the ones toward South Texas, starting with San Antonio, El Paso, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Laredo, and Macallan. There are also lots of little towns with a heavy influence....Goliad, Sinton, Seguin, Pleasanton, etc....They aren't Mexicanized in the sense of being trashy or violent though. It's more in the customs and architecture. Lots of friendly and also English speaking legal Mexican Americans there.

Ahh yes allow me to clarify. Old native Legal Spanish/Mexicans I do not mind. I am inquiring as to what cities have the heaviest dangerous new illegal Mexican influence.

(Rank the Major Cities as well as provide small town info if desired)

Its hard to say which are the most dangerous because of it, or the ones that contain the most illegal residents. Here are the Latino populations in Texas in the major metro areas (source: ACS 2008):

Mexican:
Houston: 1,521,793
Dallas/Fort Worth: 1,489,643
San Antonio: 979,963
Austin: 391,470

Puerto Rican:
Dallas/Fort Worth: 31,363
Houston: 26,242
San Antonio: 18,063
Austin: 7,784

Cuban:
Houston: 16,356
Dallas/Fort Worth: 9,913
Austin: 4,896
San Antonio: 3,124

Other Latinos:
Houston: 378,733
Dallas/Fort Worth: 202,255
Austin: 94,032
San Antonio: 81,032

Its also hard to say which are more established than others. For example, the foreign born Mexican population is higher in DFW than it is in Houston by about 50,000, but overall there are more Mexicans in Houston. I dont know what that really means to the respecitive metro areas.

Wow; I didn't know Houston and Dallas PR populations were that big.

Neither did I, though I'm even more surprised by the number of Cubans, and the fairly sizeable discrepancy in the Cuban population in each city.

Houston and Austin are known sanctuary cities. Not sure about other Texas cities.

I agree all of the cities listed sprawl. But I think Houston is the champion. The Houston "area" is massive in size - it can take a very long time to drive across it. I am not condemning Houston for it - that's just the way it is.

As for the "mess" - I think much of Houston is downright ugly. The beauty of Memorial, West U, etc. is offset by the strip mall hell of Westheimer, Richmond, Bellaire, just to name a few. Houston has allowed almost any kind of development almost anywhere. And it shows.

So much for assplace claims that both city metros are similar in every way. Similar number of people does not mean similar in demography make-up, amenities, programs, highways, etc. I've been to Houston, and it's as different from DFW as night and day. For instance, DFW does not have a space center, a seaside boardwalk, or the largest medical facility (TX Medical Center) in the world.

Thats like saying Houston doesnt have a stockyards, a six-flags, or whatever.

I dont even know what your response was in question too. The areas dont have identical ethnic breakdowns. What two metro areas do? Both are minority-majority, but you cant expect them to be the same.

Both DFW and Houston have many similarities and differences as well.
