Hello there! Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a question about the Waco/Killeen/Temple area.

If you're in Killeen, and you're using a land line, do you have to dial 1-999-9999 to reach someone in Waco? Or Temple? Do you have to dial 1-254-999-9999? Or can you just dial 999-9999?

Thanks again! Hope your New Year is already happy!

Yes you have to dial 1 - 254 for a call from Killeen to Waco, not sure about Temple its in the same county as Killeen.

I suspect that would depend upon the service installed by your local telco. I once tried to make a landline call from a company phone in Killeen to the KD clinic in Temple but was long distance. I believe some co-workers have completed calls from Killeen to Temple as a local call. For any local call in the Fort Hood metro, the 254 is optional and is required only for a long distance call.
