We are considering moving from the Central Valley of Ca.to Texas. We've been looking at Rockwall. Does anyone have any feedback (good or bad ) about the town, housing, schools, shopping? My husband works for Costco, so he would transfer out to that one (if all went well).

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

That Costco is brand new. A few years ago, Rockwall was still a sleepy little burb but it has built up tremendously in the recent past. The shopping you need is all right there and there are some pretty good restaraunts too. Not much experience with the schools but I hear they are pretty good. There is plenty of outdoor activities especially if you like boating as the lake is right there. I don't live there so I cannot be specific, but I visit my brother there frequently and have watched the place grow. There are some nice neighborhoods that are just about walking distance to the Costco on the south side of 35. There are also nearby rural areas if you prefer a little more space.

We would like to relocate to that area of the metroplex...but we would like to be closer to DFW. We currently live in E Texas and will be relocating to the metroplex in about 2 years. We currently shop at the Costco in Rockwall and that area is beautiful and has a lot of choices when it comes to shopping.
