That mall only has one anchor?!?

True, but it's at least something. Last time I checked Downtown Houston and Dallas (granted that one is a Nieman Marcus) also have only one department store.

Cities such as St. Louis, Miami, and Atlanta can't claim that.

A mall does not compliment a downtown. Small businesses, restaurants, museums, architecture, number of pedestrians and people on the sidewalks, mass transit, dense residential development, nightlife, music & street performers, that all compliments a downtown. A mall is a mall, you seen one you seen them all. So Houston and Dallas have mega gallerias. Big deal, in Mass we have Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's and all that crap too, that isn't unique. Downtown San Antonio actually has a unique atmosphere with historical sights & architecture, The Riverwalk, outdoor dining, and some small businesses. Who cares how many anchors a mall with stores found in all 50 states has?

LOL...

Can somebody please explain this....seems a little out of place

This downtown McDonald's replaced an earlier prototype that was built by the company in the 1970's.* The replacement (built in 2001 )restaurant was done in a McDonald's retro design, similar to their designs of the 1950's.* The building features a roof that slopes from front to back with single illuminated arches on each side of the building.* The roof is also outlined in neon.

Ok it's a McDonald's, I have seen other cities with a McDonald's in there Downtown. This McDonald's has been here since the 70s, the new building was built in 2001.
