For small college towns, San Marcos is up there.

Austin hands down for the 18-25 crowd.

Otherwise, Dallas or Houston for the more mature late 20's-30's something age group.

San Antonio has the largest party in Texas! Fiesta! I would say all big Texas cities are party cities. I read one article that San Antonio has the highest concentration of bars in Texas. It also ranked as one of the drunkest cities, of course not a good thing.

Anyone who has read my posts know that I love Abilene. However, it is probably the worst party town in Texas--one reason I love it--quiet--

All of them

Bigger cities will have more parties to choose from. SA has fiesta which many people from all over Texas attend.

People will say the best party city is Austin, but that is probably more for the younger crowd (think of all the college kids in a relatively small area). And if going to a bar means partying to you then I guess you could say Austin .

Houston will have plenty parties to choose from along with Dallas. Both will appeal to ALL ages.

So I stand corrected all of the cities are good for everyone.

Austin is the best City to Party in because its not near as dangerous as the other major cities. 6th Street is about as good as it gets...its beyond crowded on a regular night. Depends on what kind of partying you are wanting to do.
