So Houston is the biggest in Texas, but who comes in second place? I am sure it is San Antonio, but people always say Dallas is bigger. Sorry if this has been asked before. I think the general misconception is that people always include Forth Worth with Dallas. I guarantee you if you ask a person outside of Texas they will all say Dallas is the second biggest city.

I am not looking for people to say SA is better than Dallas or Dallas is better than SA, but rather looking to see which city is bigger. Plain and simple.

I am curious to see how the new census turns out. I know that SA and Dallas are getting mightier and mightier every year.

If someone could find a CURRENT number for population in each major city then that would sure help me out!

Yes, I'm pretty sure you're right. If you look at what I guess we'd call metropolitan areas, the DFW area would be second, but as far as individual cities go SA is second.

San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas.

Dallas is the third largest

Houston is the largest

DFW is the largest metropolitan area

Greater Houston is the second-largest metropolitan area.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Seems like many Texans need to learn more about their cities number wise.

I had no idea D/FW metro was bigger than Houston. I don't know why I thought it was still smaller. Makes sense, though.
