It's got some great food, especially if you're looking for some of the best Tex Mex or steak in the US (though it has plenty of other offerings as well). It's got some FABULOUS museums - honestly the Amon Carter museum of western art is fantastic, even if (like me) you're not particularly "into" western art. The museum really brings to light the allure of the west in the 1800s - that spirit of adventure and discovery and the exquisite beauty of lost Native American culture.

I always recommend that people who are unfamiliar with Texas go to Fort Worth first, and then branch out. In my opinion, if you want to experience Texas, do Fort Worth first, then Dallas, then Houston, and then San Antonio. If you've got time, branch out into the Hill Country or south Texas, or east Texas, or the Panhandle too of course, but those first four cities are pretty much required Texas culture.
Well coming from a foodie's paradise--
I'm definitely going to be checking out the best steaks, lol
This is some solid info--
Sounds like Fort Worth offers a lot more than I expected.....

Thanks

Ah yes... Fort Worth. The most forgotten and yet least forgettable major city in Texas (figure that one out).

Dallas- The most popular kid on campus

Houston- The quiet line-backer on the football team that's always bitting his nails:

San Antonio- works at his family "tex mex" restaurant

Austin- a junior in high school that keeps getting caught smoking weed in the restroom.

Ft.Worth- the TCU freshman that hates to go to the club with Dallas when he's home from school because the girls never pay attention to him.

How many times can you get caught smoking in a high school restroom?

Dallas - the metrosexual twin on Property Brothers
Fort Worth - the hands on, rugged twin on Property Brothers
