Forgot to mention Looneyville, TX

But my all time favorite unfortunately located outside of Texas:

I wish I could move there just for a while to be able to greet newcomers "Welcome to Hell!"

Yes. As I said on your other thread, this whole area, and the whole state, has been going through a drought of historical proportions for the last few years. We got a lot of rain the past few days, but that doesn't mean the back of the drought is broken, just bent a little. Why?

Earth, Texas. Some very nice folks over there. Three or four summers ago I forgot to lock down my trailer ramps and I lost one as I drove through Earth in one of their intersection "dips". A local lady saw the thing fall out of my trailer and she chased me down out on the highway in her small car. She told me exactly where I had lost the ramp and, when I drove back, I found that she had also taken the time to drag the heavy steel ramp off the roadway and place it up on the sidewalk.

Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about folks from Texas

If someone in a Lowe's store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Texas ;
Happens all the time!

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Texas ;
Guilty!

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you may live in Texas ;
I had a lengthy text conversation with someone who texted the wrong number.

If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas ;
Oh yeah.

If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Texas
Not only that, but MY wife can change her own oil. :-) *sexy*

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph --you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas ;
Now this is a total lie. If the speed limit is 55, you're going 80 and everyone is passing you, you're in NEW JERSEY.

Believe it or not, few Texas highways with their unusually high speed limits have large quantities of speeders. People self-regulate to what they feel is a reasonable speed. Where I lived in TX, the highway had a 75 mph speed limit and most people did 65-70.

If you find 60 degrees 'a little chilly,' you may live in Texas ;
Get it right. For native Texans, 70 is "a little chilly". At 60, "It's COLD out here!" Texans like to say that anything under 75 is too cold. :-P
My additions in red.

Don't leave out my favorite Texas town name...Possum Kingdom! Also, it's not the name of a town but there's a church nearby called Little Hope Baptist Church. I think it was a little community there at one time called little hope.
