I will be driving from Orlando, FL to Las Vegas next week. My first night will be spent in Beaumont, TX if I calculated my drive properly. Off of I-10, are there any safe affordable motels me and my 15 yr old brother could stay at?

If you do Hotwire for Beaumont. There is a 2.5* hotel listed in Vidor for about $50 a night, its not in Vidor its just right off I10. Its a brand new Holiday Inn Express and its pretty comfortable.

^ That's a really good deal, and a nice, new hotel. I grew up in the town next to Vidor, and I can tell you it is much safer than Beaumont.
