Hello we are planning to buy a house in Telfair and we were told that the house prices are hyped in that location, we would like some suggestions how we can negotiate the realistic price for 4000 sq ft house where price per sq ft is 100$. Also we are moving in houston from NJ so couple people suggested us that we can communicate with our realtor to split comission. Now this is totally grey area for us so any suggestions regarding this is highly appreciated alongwith negotiation in buying new home. Any positives/Negatives about Riverstone area :-)

Thanks
Maya

Wow that is high, we're about 5-6 miles south of Telfair, also a newer neighborhood and the price per sq ft here is right under $80.

You might get more answers if you post this in the Houston forum.

hello JJP,

thanks for reply, i am amazed to gather know this information, since whomever we met there all said that 100$ is acceptable price per sq ft and I jumped off my chair looking at 20$ difference. Thanks again I will post it in houston Forum.

Thanks
Maya

Another example - New Territory is right next to Telfair. I realize the homes are older, but the median price per sq ft there is $80.53
