Last Abortion Clinic in Toledo, Ohio Closing on Wednesday | LifeNews.com

Politics aside, it would be nice if abortions could be performed in hospitals instead of standalone clinics. And admittedly, LifeNews.com isn't exactly an unbiased source.

All of these abortion clinic closings are a direct result of new regulations to make sure that the procedure is truly safe and regulated, as it and any other medical procedure should be. In the wake of the Kermit Gosnell debacle and other similar stories that have surfaced over the years, that could only be a good thing.

I am admittedly pro-life, but I don't understand how people who are pro-abortion say that they are all about women's health but yet don't embrace the idea of abortion clinics being safer and more well regulated. Wouldn't that directly affect women's health in a positive way?

I'm not saying you are pro-abortion, I would have no way of knowing that and it's none of my business, I'm just saying...

The OP makes a good point, that abortions should be performed in the same hospitals which handle tubal ligations and such. It would increase accountability (the conservative argument) and also take the funding tactic away from politicians who would never be able to get away with attempting to shut down a local hospital over the abortion procedure.
