Moving to Toledo - Anyone live at Centurion House or Westridge Townhomes? (Sylvania: apartment complexes)

My wife and I are relocating to Toledo from out of state, and we’re wondering if anyone who lives/has lived at the following apartment complexes in Toledo: Centurion House (on W. Sylvania across from the mall) and the recently-built townhomes at Westridge (across from the Botanical Gardens) could please answer a few questions for us.


Westridge ( specifically the 2-bedroom townhouses, not the flats)

1. Is it a quiet place? It seemed quiet when we visited during the afternoon on a weekday, but they indicated that they do rent to some college students from UT. Is noise a problem? The townhomes are appealing since you don’t have anyone living above your head – are they relatively soundproof, or can you hear your neighbor’s TV/snoring through the walls?
2. How about the utility costs? I would guess since they are recent construction, that the furnace would be somewhat efficient and the windows/insulation would be decent – any estimates on what the gas bill would run in the winter would be appreciated.
3. How’s the management/maintenance? A few postings at apartmentratings.com suggested that in the past snow removal has been a problem in this complex. Any comments from residents?

Centurion House

1. Same question #1 above – is it a reasonably peaceful, quiet place? Seemed like a lot of the other tenants were professionals or senior citizens.
2. How are the utility costs – each unit seems to have its own heating/AC and hot water heater (all electric)? Any estimates of what the high/low/average of the electric bill runs would be very helpful.
3. The parking lot seems kind of small given the number of apartments – is there ever any trouble finding a space?
4. Any problems with management/maintenance?
