Will the casinos hurt or help Toledo this will be all bad I think.Since Toledo is worse know it's only going to get worse so what does every one else think it's going to be nothing but trouble.

"nothing but trouble?"... no I don't think so, BUT...

Would Toledo accept this 'lifestyle' if the economy were better? A few people, who are wealthy now, will get wealthier. The general population will gain nothing. Jobs? Ha! Minimum wages...take it or leave it.

This is an example of 'Disaster Capitalism' where a few people are taking advantage of the poor economic conditions to make money based on half-truths and empty promises. The reality will be different from the image the people of Toledo were sold.

In Florida we were sold a lottery that would use all the proceeds to benefit education. The fine print has the regular education budget giving back dollar-for-dollar any income from the lottery. Education gained nothing. The budgeted money goes back into other unnamed projects. We also have the "Hard Rock Hotel/Casinos". The Seminole Indian tribe run those and are not taxable due to their indian status. That helps Florida a lot. Well, maybe not...
