At least there were no deaths. What was particularly frightening about this outbreak was that it wasn’t predicted hours in advance the way most tornadic storms are these days.

From Madison County, Indiana last Friday July 20, a very short lived EF1 tornado that destroyed a barn and some crops.

Not strictly a tornado, but worth discussing: California fire tornado! Wind speeds estimated to place this monstrosity in the EF3 category.

Rare tornados in Ottawa, Ontario area today.

Hardest hit was Gatineau, Quebec and Dunrobin, Ontario,
thousands without powers.

Powerful wonds today throughout Ontario and Quebec
as a strong cold front moved through.

Dropping temperatures drastically....
for example, Toronto 32C / 90F to a low tomorrow 8C / 46F.
