Hi there,
I am a young Vietnamese girl. I plan to apply for the program of Hospitality and Tourism Management in both colleges. They provide less expensive tuition than Ryerson Uni. However, I have no idea about the reputation and real quality of these two schools. ( student safisfation, internship, rate of graduate student getting a job...)
By the way, I also plan to apply to Thompson River Univeristy in Bristish Columbia for the same major. If you have any idea about this school, please let me know. Thank you!
If you have any opinion or comment, please write on this thread. I definitely appreciate all.
You're asking about a specific degree at a specific school and only about 10-15 people frequent this board. Look some place else, maybe call the college?
Most colleges have collect statistics on what percentage of their grads obtain employment in their field. While these statistics can be misleading due to people initially obtaining employment and then changing career paths at a later date, the college is a place to start.
You could also try cold calling some prospective employers and asking them how they feel about the diplomas being offered by the programs.
One thing is for certain, George Brown's hospitality programs have an excellent reputation. A lot well known Canadian culinary figures got their start at GBC. If the tuition fits your budget, go for it. The quality of teaching will be first rate. Great location too, in downtown Toronto.
