I'm applying to an Early Level Career (1-3 Years Experience) at an architecture firm in Toronto. My current salary in the same field but different industry here in Orlando, FL is 28,000 USD which allows me to live in a comfortable 2 bedroom with a roommate and still do a few things I'd like though not extravagant and save a little.

I'm just looking for what a comparable salary to cost of living would be. If the company does hire me I'd get a Work Visa so that shouldn't be a problem and I've got a bit saved up.

What salary would you say I should put as Desired Salary to live at a similar quality of life as I do now. Hopefully a safe neighborhood (I have no problems with living in minority areas as long as they're not high crime) and access to the public transit.

Thanks,
Ender

Hopefully someone with specific experience in your field will respond, but based on my limited knowledge, I would expect you to earn at least CD$50k, which would be more than enough to maintain your current quality of life and likely improve upon it.

You can find detailed salary information on: salary.com, payscale.com and glassdoor.com.
