Hello,
We are coming to Toronto for the first time in the next few weeks. Unfortunately we only have about 1.5 days to spend downtown prior to going to Niagra.
I have been looking through the travel guide and find it very overwhelming. I was hoping to get some suggestions on a good way to spend a half a day seeing some of the nice sites in downtown Toronto. We are pretty leisurely travelers and don't like to pack in too much at a time!
Thank you in advance! We are staying at the Westin Harbour Castle.

Distillery District and the Centre Island ferry...Those are two that are right close by.

What are you going to do for the other full day?

What drew you to Toronto, or what sorts of things are you hoping to see? History? Architecture? Parks? Shopping? Ethnic neighbourhoods? The bustling streets or the intimate corners?

I would maximize my time by taking a tour of the city and getting a general feel for the city as a whole. You are in a great location for walking about, dining, etc.

Depends upon your age and interests. Based on the hotel you are staying in, I would definitely take the ferry to Centre Island. There is an amusement park there if you have kids, but if you don't there is a lot more to the island (trails, beaches), and it provides you with some nice views.
