Hello. I am a senior in high school in the USA. My dream school is McGill in Montreal but after University I would like to move to Toronto to work and live. How difficult is it to immigrate to Canada after attending university there? Any tips for the future?

Prepare for Uni by being able to do research. I did a google and here is the web site that answers your questions
Welcome to Citizenship and Immigration Canada

Also do a googe for pathways for residency for people who attend university in Canada.

I believe once you finished a 4 year degree in Canada, you automatically get a 2 year work permit allowing to work for any employees.

And after working for 1 year, you are qualified for the Canadian experience category for immigration News Release – Minister Kenney Announces Proposed Plan to Expedite Skilled Workers' Transition from Temporary to Permanent Residence

Seems it will be fairly easy for you.

Interesting thread, according to this website it looks like you can apply to the experienced class if you have graduated from a Canadian University and also had 1 year work experience in professional, managerial or a technical occupation.

Does anybody know which kind of jobs are classified in the “professional work field”, where does this leave people who don’t have degrees in technical feilds?

Canadian Experience Class: Who can apply
