Any suggestions? I want to do something different this winter.. I do not want to stay that much time at home...

Honestly not much.
Although people will immediately suggest going skiing as if you jump on a subway train and 20 minutes later you are at a ski resort.

When the day starts at 8am and gets dark before 4:30pm, my suggestion is try to have more fun indoors. There is nothing wrong with spending more time at home.

agreed. Head down to Harbourfront or Nathan Phillips Square for some skating

Not sure if you are specifically referring to outdoor activities...but if not it may also be nice to explore things in the warmth of the indoors that you maybe haven't been to before (museums, galleries, etc.)
