I live here since october (i know the city since 2009 because i used to come for Christmas and New Year) but i wanna know where the best places to go out, usually bars or lounges, i live in the college street and i went to a bar called Grutto friday night but that was full of air. I`m european so i would like to know friendly bars, places where you could walk in and have fun, drink a beer or something, and if you see a girl you know you could make a new friend not a sex night and in the next days you never gonna see her again, as i said since i live here recently i don-t have many friends, so when i get someone to go out at weekends i go to the Panorama Lounge in bloor and bay, i really love that place, the bars in college is though because i like to wear an All Star shoes jeans and blazer, (how european i am looool) and once a guy implied with me for using All Stars, but the environment was weird, a lot of guys loooking for right-now-sex, i`m straight but come on guys? do you really are so desperate to take that dirt woman home?
Furthermore, i don`t think it`s hard to make friends here (i now i don`t have friends but since i barely go out how come i`m gonna make friends) as long you have an open mind and you are funny, i tried online dating but i only went out one with a girl and we became friends but she`s out of the city most of the time. And if here people gather together i would love to join, to make male and female friends, it`s good to have a male friend to talk about the lady sit at the bar, and guys stuff, cars, beer and so lol.

OP what is your type of crowd like? College people, sophisticated, laid back and relaxed, a lot of $$$? If you look at the general nightlife as long as your not a total creep that gets butthurt most of the places have a lot of friendly people (higher end places tend to be a bit tougher if you don't have any coke) but all in all toronto is a fairly friendly city if you are looking to have fun.
and don't do internet dating, that is just plain embarrassing.
