This is a great point. Part of his duties exist outside the chambers of city hall. He has a responsibility to be present at events, ceremonies, ribbon cuttings. He already skipped out on the Police benefit gala because he is at war with the chief. Next up is placing a wreath at the cenotaph, and then the Santa Claus Parade. He'll either be a no-show or a complete distraction. In either case he is not fulfilling his duty. I imagine the deputy mayor is going to be a very busy guy soon.

What he had done was inexcusable, but the treatment he received was totally unjustifiable. We should feel sorry for how blood thirsty and how low some of us had sunk for the sake of maliciously tarnishing someone’s image and reputation if you didn’t feel sorry for the man himself. You act like the papers just went out and made up stuff out of thin air to persecute the man. They didn't. He was the one who admitted to smoking crack in a drunken stupor, getting inebriated, buying drugs, and now the allegations of hookers and racist cracks in the police report.If anyone "maliciously tarnished" Rob Ford's image, it was Rob Ford.
He needs help. He should step down or take a leave of absence and get some, before he disgraces himself further.
