Hello,
I'm an American who will be visiting London for the first time on Wednesday. I love street food and whenever I go anywhere I'm always excited to try to the regional cuisine. Are there any specialties specific to London that I should definitely try while I'm in town? What about good local beer?
Thanks so much for your time!
I lived in London for a year. I don't know that there's really anything that could be considered a 'specialty' there in terms of the food. There are however some good restaurants both downtown and on Richmond Row. As for street food, if I remember correctly there is some, but it's only available in the summer months.
As for beer, I was going to recommend Gambrinus but I see it's closed now. The place had 150 different types of beer available.
May I ask why you're planning on going to London? It's rather tourist-unfriendly, to be honest.
