Hi all,

I'm looking to relocate to Toronto and have a job offer (in North York) that pays 42k. This will be my first time getting an apartment so I'm super paranoid about the bed bugs/roaches/mice, bad landlords, bad neighborhoods etc. and am having a difficult time finding a good website to use to search for available apartments. Ideally I'd like the rent for 1B or Bachelor to be around 1200/month and public transport accessible, so any specific recommendations are welcome. (Not looking for basement apartments)

Thanks!

IMO viewit.ca is the best for apartment searches. That is what I am using. It doesn't help with bedbugs/roaches so I also use bedbugregistry.com and myhood.ca (which has reviews) along with viewit.

As far as professional rental apartment management companies go I can recommend greenwin.ca and Shiplake Management Company. My apartment at Yonge and Eglinton, which i've been at for almost a year now, was previously managed by Greenwin and has now been transferred over to Shiplake and so far so good.

Thanks! Viewit is definitely better than what I've stumbled across. Thanks for the recommendation, regionalitch. I'll check them out.
