Hi all

I have got my permanent residency in Toronto and have come back to the UK to give notice to my employer and close up things before i move in march-april time, while i am in the UK i thought i might as well apply for jobs while i am waiting to move, any advice on how to do this? i don't just want to send my cv off to loads of places only for it to end up in the deleted folder or bin

many thanks

Sukhi

It's a number's game, some of your applications will end up getting deleted no matter what, you just need to send as many as you can. And unless your field is top notch, applying remotely will most likely be ineffective: when the employers can't schedule an interview quickly or a phone call without having to check the time difference, they would easily turn to a whole bunch of local candidates... If you got connections it may get easier
