Median family income is 71k. So I guess 90-100 is "good".
It is not a high wage city.

I would go with Toronto. Better weather, and a better country than the other choices. Unless you like it really hot.

Toronto probably has the most to do of those three cities as well. It's amazing there!

It is or it is not?
I am still not clear about this.
90 k refers to the gross income ?

That is gross income. No idea what kind of life/dwelling type you are interested in or what kind of commute you are looking for (or do you work independently and remotely?). To put this into perspective median income for lone parent families is $40k. Median total income, by family type, by census metropolitan area (All census families)

You can rent a 1 bedroom for $1,100-$1,500 depending on area/tastes...without calculating anything official that alone will probably take around $15-23k in Canadian pre-tax income.

Normal life. One car , possibly 2. Not too far from downtown. 2 or 3 bedroom house.
Just to give you an idea. My Italian salary alone, translated into Canadian dollars is round about 75k , probably more because of some benefits I got with my Italian contract that should increase that amount. Thus in the worst scenario, no increase in salary which I would not be fine with though, that would be my minimum salary.

Based on the above, and on the fact that my wife will not be working for some time, would that salary be fine?

I still do not understand what the parameters I should be looking at to figure out whether my salary would be good, sorry about that!

At 75k you're already making more than 50% of households (not individuals), without finding more statistics I'm sure 75k is more than what 75-80% of people in Toronto make so it all comes down to you and your tastes/lifestyle.

Maybe to see if you'd be comfortable here with your salary clear up the biggest expense which is what it would cost you to rent in the type of place that suits you (what's normal for me is probably minimalist for you). You can check out sites like ViewIt.ca or Kijiji for that.

Without really knowing that much I just threw down a few numbers below.

**Monthly: $1,500-2,500 --- 2 bedroom apartment/condo/or one floor of a house (including utilities)
**Monthly: $166 -- Car Insurance (average is $1,500-$1,700 depending on area, plan for ~$2,000 total for both of you for 1 car)
**Monthly: $300-500 -- Food/Groceries
**Monthly: $75-$175 TV/Internet (if not included in rent)
**Monthly: $50-$75 Phone

$10,000 modest used car or ~$150-400 monthly lease or financing for 4-5 years

car insurance is probably underestimated
OP is from a foreign country and doesn't have Canadian driving record, and the quote he can get may be much higher - that's my own experience anyway.

How much after tax money would I make with 75k?
I have used this website https://simpletax.ca/calculator

And it's about 57 after tax. Which means almost 4700 dollars net per month
