The average high is apparently around 80F these days and the dewpoint averages near 70F. That itself doesn't sound bad, similar to summer in Hawaii, but I wonder if that's the *norm* or it's often similar to Texas and Louisiana and more like 90F with 75F dewpoints.

Last summer I only needed AC for a couple of weeks
Toronto summer is very nice. I don't get those people who complain it is too hot or humid or muggy. They probably have never been to any place south of the latitude of Washington DC - that's the only explanation.
When the entire summer is seldom over 30C (mostly between 25 and 29) and very rarely exceed 35C (maybe a day or two per year), you don't get to say it is too anything other than nice and comfortable. As to the famous "it is the humidity" complaint, that's even more laughable, similar to a family of 4 complaining their 3 bedroom 1800sf house being too small.
above 30 is what I call slightly hot, and above 35 is too hot. You may say "people have different threshold" etc all you want, but to call Toronto summers too hot is simply stupid.
Spring, Summer and Fall the weather is good. Everywhere has air conditioning. If you don't then just go hang out somewhere that does. After 3 months of brutal winter... the words too hot may not come out of your mouth too quickly!
