I'm taking a VIA train to Edmonton and won't be back for 11 days, is there any secure long term parking close to Union station?

Why not just park somewhere near a GO train station or TTC line and take public transit to Union? As for parking in downtown, most start at $15-$25 per day or half day minimum.

There is no place in the largest city in Canada where you can park for 11 days?

Of course there is space. If you want to pay $30-40 a day parking downtown, then by all means. Just bring money.

So I found out.

Sad thing is when I take the Amtrak train from Depew NY I can leave my car there for as long as I want for free. VIA rail is ridiculously more expensive than Amtrak and this parking issue just adds to that.

Well yeah but you're parking at Depew New York not the 4th largest city in North America lol.. I'm sure there'd be parking challenges in the heart N.A's largest cities too.

Have you tried getting a temporary parking permit - maybe street parking. There's an email address and phone number in the link below.. Might be worth a look.. Also, might be easier to just take a greyhound or megabus bus from Buffalo to Toronto and not worry about a car altogether - that's what i'd do personally.

the fact this is the first time I hear about Depew NY is probably the reason?

How much if would cost if you park your car at Penn station for 11 days? I found it for you, USD58 per 24 hours.

Except Union Station is the busiest transport hub in the country located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and downtown Toronto isn't Depew NY...

It's like like trying to find free parking around 34th St. Penn Station New York. Not gonna happen in this universe.
