For those of you who did not already know this apparently The University of Toronto has been receiving online threats to shot and slit the throats of feminist students and professors and had to increase security. The police are looking in to this matter. It is pathetic and sad that someone feels so threatened and insecure in who they are that they would think this way and encourage others to act this way towards other human beings. If all the women or men you come across are interacting with you negatively ... turn on your brain. The problem is YOU. You need to reassess your behaviour.
When I hear stuff like this it just reminds me of how lucky I am to be a women living in this city and country in this day and age. Thanks again to all the women and men before me who struggled to give me the rights I do have and deserve like all other human beings.
To the women in this city and world that are younger then me who may now or one day read this ..... do not let anyone keep you down. This does not mean your need to oppress or disrespect anyone else. Feminism DOES NOT mean hatred or disrespect towards men. Any man who does not respect you or who is trying to hold you back, rather than embracing you for who you are is not worth your time. Be strong, be proud of who and what you are and continue to push forward.
