I think she is just expressing her displeasure in toronto and I don't think you are helping. Lol. I'm sure she has asked many people and they probably all recommend watching the leafs in a pub on Saturday night. I mean that is sooooo canadian. It seems rather logical.
And people are hard to meet here. If you don't know how to bulldoze over people then it is hard to meet someone in a social setting. People here are not really open to meeting new people. The straight scene and the gay scene is probably a lot different that way.
I am helping her to inform her NOT to go to the local pub! If she wants ideas on where to go for clubs/lounges that are more what she is looking for than she needs to do some basic research and just GO.. Its simple really.. What you're saying about asking people about what to do and them saying go to a local pub to watch the Leafs is nonsensical.. Again, there are PLENTY of options for Anna to exercise on a Saturday night other than that. I mean where does she live or who is she asking, people in Georgetown or Milton?
If the are anything like other Europeans probably not. A simple hi and how are you and the conversation just goes. Matter of fact when I visited Europe I actually got approached when by myself. Never happens to me in toronto and I live here. I gotta read the sublet hints but it ain't worth it. Lol.
Well there you go - very simple solution... Just remember YOU are a married man lol.. I didn't know str8's strayed so easily once in their 30's and married with kids.. Don't worry imma not gonna judge you.
COL - I think you know very well i'm right there Matic.

I'm sure when anna read this she will feel slighted. You are basically saying she is too dumb to find a place when I'm sure for 2.5 years being here. She has.

Ah the good ole set up to transition to a put down. I bet you feel clever.

Don't put words in my mouth lol.. However, sometimes leading a horse to water requires being frank and quite frankly - going to Wing Machine or a Firkin Pub is not a good representation of nightlife breadth in Toronto..
Don't try to analyze things too much.. We are having a frank discussion here.
Nothing frank about you. Lol. Your posting indicate you like to run around things and act like you know everything. And your opinion is always the right one. Haha. It's really not.

Not putting words in your mouth. You are just passively aggressively hinting at she is not trying hard enough to find somewhere else. So must be something wrong with her.

Except on a Saturday night when hockey is on. Are you seriously from Toronto denying that a lot of people watch hockey. Man. Lol. Gay guys.

Why do you try to use all these terms that are nonsensical.. Passive aggressively - its so overused in here its not funny.. Its like someone pretending to be a shrink who is not - just DON'T man lol.. Instead of trying to label the discussion or label someone's intentions just engage in the discussion and leave the psychoanalysis to someone qualified and whom the person seeks out such advice from.
I'm not saying something is wrong with Anna - i'm just saying that some of her remarks are off and out of touch with how many young people spend a Saturday night..
Of course a lot of people watch hockey in the GTA on a Saturday night and eat wings/drink beer and watch a game - I'm not denying that all all and heck I've done it before and nothing wrong with it! What i'm saying is a lot don't do that or don't do it every week and are out partying/enjoying a drink in a lounge/bar setting and if she hasn't experienced the latter here than she is either not going to the right venues or not asking the right people. I'm trying to help lead her in the right direction if indeed she genuinely wants to do something other than eat wings/drink beer and watch sports on a Sat night.
All my comments have zero to do with being Gay btw but are rooted in common sense and simple observations/experience and having a variety of friends of all stripes in the city..
