Honestly what's the real point of unlimited data? I have 5G every month and the usual actual usage is between 1-2G. Nobody is gonna play video games or watch movies on a cellphone all the time.

Maybe cellphone plans in Canada are more expensive, I could understand your frustration, but there are other things that are much cheaper than the UK, and particularly London, do you agree? Rent for example. Restaurants possible too. You can't focus on one thing that you think works against you and keep being pis*d about it.

Wind's service is horrendous. I use on average 6-7G of data. The point of it is that some of us use it a lot when on the go, Im one of these people.

And I have never said that other things aren't cheaper, I simply pointed out that Canada seems to be way behind the rest of the world when it comes to telecommunication services.

Behind the rest of the world is a bit exaggeration but Canada in terms of telecom definitely isn't one of the most advanced countries. In fact, the ICT development index put it at 23 among the 30 ranked countries, behind countries like New Zealand and Estonia, the UK at 5, so I understand why you are dissatisfied.

Other things that Canada lags behind I can think of is online shopping (which is stuck at primitive phase - I hardly know a Canada based online shopping website), public transit (no high speed train, cities like Toronto still hasn't adopted a fare card for public transit, which is like a 1990 technology). But I gradually got used to it.

True, with regards to online shopping almost no online stores in canada accept debit cards which I find bewildering.

oh, yeah, that's one thing I found weird when I first came here and wanted to buy a laptop using my debit card (my credit card wasn't approved yet thanks to CIBC's extremely low efficiency) and was told that was not possible. I still don't know any online store that accepts debit cards either. But when I got my credit cards it doesn't bother me any more since using credit cards gives me points.

I mean what do you expect - Canada has a tiny population of 35 million. A diverse online ecosystem can only thrive with a large population or close interconnectivity with other common markets that share same currency and low tariffs. But yes, lack of online shopping choices is a bummer.

Also, "way behind rest of the world" is a gross exaggeration and you know that. lol. Behind the U.S., yes. Behind certain EU states, yes. Behind Japan and Korea, yes. Behind the likes of Ukraine and Russia? Doubt it.

Lastly, not sure if your company offers this, but most large employers now offer employee discounts for mobile and data plans, in the range of 20-25% off regular plans. My company essentially covers all of our mobile bills the moment you become an employee as part of company wide benefits. Unlimited data at 4G LTE and unlimited North America calling and texting.

Hey I was just trying to save you a few bucks.. I could care less if you pay 1000 dollars per month for a cell phone plan in Canada or wherever else you want to move to. No sweat off my balls.

Inspire you? No you fool - that would be impossible as you're only inspired by the things you don't have the ability to acquire lol..

Lol. Actually I'd say my wife and kids inspire me but take what you want and form your decision of me from my postings without knowing me. Bout time you said something not passive aggressive though. All I had to do was make you mad. Lol.
