Hi,

I figured this would be the best section to post.

I considering relocating to Kitchener, Waterloo, Hamilton or London, I'm writing to find out if it possible to rent a good 1 bedroom self-contained apartment for under $900 monthly in safe neighborhood in these areas? If so, what are good recommendations of areas or apartments complexes?

As well, I am looking for areas that have a presence of young professionals, but yet not party central.

I've looked online for the prices, but of course, it is hard to tell which apartments are in a safe neighborhood, etc.

Any feedback, would be helpful.

Thanks.

For Kitchener-Waterloo - yes.

Uptown Waterloo, Belmont Village, the King & Allen area are nice neighbourhoods. I'm less familiar with Kitchener, but I think the Downtown, Victoria Park and neighbourhoods East and North of Downtown are worth looking into. Downtown Kitchener can be dodgy late at night though.

In Waterloo, the areas just north of Uptown are very student oriented, since that's where the UW and Laurier are. I would say >95% students in the neighbourhood in between those two universities, and then about 30% students around Uptown.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll look into these.
