Since I might make the move to Toronto, I just want to know how the TTC system in Toronto works.
1. If I need to travel to anywhere within the GTA (Halton, Peel, York, Toronto & Durham), Etobicoke and Missisauga, would the TTC monthly pass be the right option? Or the Weekly Pass? Which one is more worth it financially?
Are Missisauga and Etobicoke considered as part of the GTA?
2. Where can I buy the monthly and weekly pass?
3. How long is one transit ticket valid for after use? Can it be used for metro, subway and buses?
4. Can the same transit ticket be used for transfers on a bus (after metro/subway) or vice versa?
And, might I say, that was my first pleasant discovery about TTC. I roomed at the Comfort Inn just off Yonge St. I jumped on the subway on Bloor. And it was so interesting to board and unboard over and over with no thought of "is your fare ready?" They can load those various vehicles really FAST.
