Whatever you do I wouldn't donate to Salvation Army. Pretty horrible history of discrimination against LGBTQ community and they still actively refuse to help LGBTQ people unless they "convert" to Christianity.

Regarding Salvation Army - wow I did not know that.
One a side note that is why as a person that is not religious I get a bit apprehencious about donating to certain religious affiliated charities because very often it seems there are strings attached to recieving their help which I am not okay with.
I did not realize that regarding the Salvation Army. If true that is very dissapointing.
