Where is this located in Toronto? Here's an interesting entrance in Wikipedia that I came across that made ask about this neighborhood: The Ward, Toronto - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Also, I found out that King Street was known for having it's share of Black owned businesses back in the early days to Toronto. Is that still the case?

I don't believe it's still the case in this particular area, but there are definite areas by the Distillery District located in Toronto's east end just before Scarborough. The Ward this present day is all commercial and government owned. I don't believe Residential is a significant part of this area.

Present day Ward is in the red box.

Sounds like what happened with Syracuse's 15th Ward, which also had a strong Jewish and Black presence. Same with Pittsburgh's Hill District as well.
